What to Know: Limited Access to PPE

The access to the National Medical Stockpile has been arranged by NDIS Quality Safeguards Commissions by providers of support for NDIS recipients. For details go to NDIS Quality Safeguards Commissions Alert dated 24th of March.

The supply will only be granted under very strict conditions,

  • Only if you have a client who has been identified as having COVID19, and
  • You can demonstrate that you are not able to obtain PPE through your normal channels.

The access will not be granted for general needs as these stockpiles is a safety net, a supply of last resort.

The NDIS Quality Safeguards Commissions has assembled a Training module: Infection prevention and control for COVID-19 (you will need to register).

ATSA reminds all registered providers of supports to report to the NDIS Quality Safeguards Commissions any significant issue or change with your business that prevents the supply of supports. This is done via the following form.
